Table cell border
Windows7 + Office '07
This will be a bit hard to explain-- I have a default table. I would like the bottom cell border of one cell to appear as a wider line with a gray shade. I tried selecting from the borders box just the bottom line but that eliminated the bottom line of the cell in my table. Is there a way to work with just one side of a cell's 4 sides within a table? Thanks, Mark |

Cell border
Yes, you can change every cell border individually. Watch the diagram display carefully. When you have selected a line style to use, the first click on the relevant border deletes the old border; the second applies the new one. In other words, it's a toggle kind of function.

Excellent--the toggle did the trick.
While I've got your attention... Is there a way that I can format certain cells as $ so that stacking values vertically will allow for the $ sign and decimals to align? Thanks, Mark |
