I'm trying to insert figures with tables so I can include figure caption below, however, occasionally I get this issue where a paragraph break is inserted in the text where the table was inserted, and it cannot be deleted and is causing a break mid sentence/paragraph.

If I show formatting marks select the paragraph break and delete it, my entire document gets messed up with the text only appearing on the left half of each page.

Is there a good way to insert these tables so they look nice with word wrap but do not keep breaking up the text?

Without actually seeing the problem document, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue. Can you attach a document to a post with some representative data (delete anything sensitive), including a problem caption? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.
