I have a table of 5 columns and 8 rows which goes over 6 pages. All of a sudden, when a cell reaches the end of the page, taking the whole row with it (as it should), the row below immediately goes to a new page, so there's a load of empty space between the current row and the next one on the new page. I have checked all the formatting and there are no spurious "Enters" anywhere. Under Table Properties I have ticked the box enabling rows to break across pages and still the problem occurs. I've spent 2 hours trying to solve this without any luck. Any thoughts anyone??

I don't completely understand your description. However, check your paragraph formatting, including "Keep with next", "Keep lines together", etc., as this can cause jumping issues.
