how can i link items from a database to a word file
this is what i would like to try i currently use a word file for sending the bill's after projects i made ( i am in construction ) . i 'm trying to link my database with the costs of all the items i use in projects to this word file so i can choose them in it so making the bill after a project is complete and maby have it auto caculate the price my customers have to pay .
am i using the right programm's for this ? i 'l give a example of i what i mean i use 6 bags of sand and 200 bricks in a small project . when i start making the the bill i select sand from a slider type the amount next to it a price comes behind it then do the same in a second line and then below that i see the final ammount that needs to be payed i know there are programme out there that do this but i want to learn it myself lookingforward to any reply 's |

Ideally, you would keep both the schedule of materials and the client records in your database. Then, when you want to prepare an invoice, you might use a database report or a mailmerge.
