Default How to paste the data from one table into the cells of another table, without overwriting anything

Hello,

I have a company wide calendar in table format. I need to add to that calendar the dates for my specific division, which is currently stored on another Word table. Whenever I try to paste in that information, it seems like my only choices are either to overlay everything, erasing the company wide dates, or to insert the department dates as new cells. I don't want to do either. Since the two tables are exactly the same size with exactly the same number of cells, it seems to me like I should be able to paste in a way that merges the individual cells together. Is this possible?

To avoid overwriting, you need to exclude the end-of-cell markers from what is copied (clicking on the ¶ symbol on the Ribbon's Home tab will reveal them, if they're not already visible). That means you can only transfer the date one cell at a time.
