Default Table with text that flows from cell to cell

Hi there,

I'm trying to create a 1 column table that allows text to flow into the cell in the row beneath when it reaches the end of the line.

Is this possible?

In a word, no. You could, however, merge the cells concerned so that you automatically have the extra space you might require.

Ah okay. The reason for using numerous cells is because I am creating a form that will be filled out by hand as well as on a computer/tablet.

I have used the cells to make dotted lines for the form to be filled out by hand.

Can you think of any other solutions?

You could use a single, fixed-height cell with tabs-stops & underlining as per the attached.

Sorry just one further question. Having had a look at your example and trying to recreate it for myself, I am having difficulty.

I understand that your set up the tab stops via either the ruler or from the paragraph dialogue. My problem is that I do not know how to place the tab stops. Pressing tab results in an extra cell being added to the bottom of the table.

Ive never encountered tab stops before - where am I going wrong?

To insert tabs within a table, use Ctrl-Tab.
