Hyperlink causes table to go off page.
Hi there
I have a table in Word 2007 on a PC. It contains 3 columns, the middle of which is the largest. I need to add a hyper link to the middle column but as soon as I do this, it causes the table to expand and go off the page. This causes not all of the middle column to display and for the third column not to be seen at all. It does not split the hyperlink onto two lines, as it does when not using a table. I looked at the hyperlink options using the context menu but that didn't help. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and how I correct this? I did a search online via the Google search engine but unfortunately the term web link is too common and I couldn't get any meaningful results, even when coupled with terms word 2007 and table. I tried hyperlink instead and told it to exclude the term "table of contents" and that also didn't produce anything meaningful on my problem. Kind regards |

I have now solved the problem. I needed to make the table fixed with. The strange thing was. Whenever I typed in text that wasn't a hyperlink, it would go onto the next line automatically, even though I'd not selected fixed width. Surely that should go off the page too.
I guess it's a design issue with Word. Anyway I hope this will be of use to someone else. |
