Importing text and tables from a webpage
I want to have the tables use the same margins as the rest of the document after they are imported.
When I select a full webpage with text and tables and then paste it into Word, the default margins of Word apply for the text, but not to the tables. When I try to adjust the margins for the whole document, the margins for the table do not change. The table margins, which I can only see when clicking in the table, are far to the left side of the document and this is causing about half of the table to be off of the printable area. If I cannot change the margins that are used for the table on the page layout tab in the page setup group, is there another way to change the table margins to match the rest of the document and have the table only show in the printable area like the pasted text? Manually adjusting the table margins with the ruler causes certain portions of the table to go completely off the screen even though I am making the margins more narrow. |

The way to do this is to select the entire table, click the layout tab in table tools, click autofit in the cell size group and then choose autofit window.
