I want to change the border of some tables so that they have rounded corners, to match some text boxes I've created in the same document.



I can select a text box > format tab > text box styles group > change shape button > select 'rounded rectangle'.... but there doesn't seem to be an option for doing this with a table....is it possible? If so, how?

AFAIK, not possible. You could, however, delete the table's outside borders, then overlay it with a rounded rectangle, which you could make transparent and/or send 'behind text'.

Thanks @macropod, I did think of that, but once this is created I'll be importing it to Adobe Acrobat to make into an interactive form. In my limited experience of Acrobat it doesn’t always import layout from word 100% correctly, so I'm trying to keep the original as simple as possible.

I’ll try it anyway & see how it goes.

I've just converted a document with a table overlaid with a rounded rectangle to PDF and it came out fine. See attached

Regarding your form development, I trust you're aware that Word formfields, etc do not convert to PDF fields...

As you found, the table with an overlaid rounded rectangle does import into acrobat ok - i'm pleasantly surprised!

I think word formfields was part of the problem I had with converting word to pdf last time I tried, so i'm planning to create the fields once it's an acrobat document.
