Many problems creating label templates
I need to create a template for printing on lanel forms. The particular form I an struggling with at the moment is Avery 5267. The labels are each 0.5 x 1.75. There are 80 per page (4 across and 20 down). There is a gap of 5/16 between the labels horizontally.
The first problem I am having is getting the height right. I have created a table with 7 columns. Columns 1, 3, 5, & 7 are 1.75" wide (exactly). Columns 2, 4, & 6 are 5/16" wide (0.31). This almost works. I have set the rows 0.5" exactly. I turned off borders and filled every other cell with grey shading. When I print that out, the rows are almost 5/8" tall. What do I have to do to get Word to make rows that are exactly 0.5" tall? |

I have uploaded a document derived from the template I am working on. (I would have uploaded the template, but it wouldn't allow it. What's up with that?)
If I open up the table properties, I see that every row is set to 0.5" exactly. But when I print it, the rows are almost 5/8" tall. Can anyone explain why? If I create a new document and add a table with rows exactly 0.5" tall (second upload), those rows print at exactly 0.5" tall. Before I go more insane, can anyone explain to me why 0.5" is not always the same? |

Hi Jennifer,
Why not simply go to Mailings > Labels > Options > Avery US Letter > Choose the 5267 layout?
