Default Copying tables between Word documents best practices?

Hi all,

I frequently need to quickly copy large tables between one word document and another word document so that they look exactly the same as in the source document. Same page margins, column widths, etc...Inevitably when I try to do this part of the table overhangs the edge of the document.

I have no control over how the table source document is setup, as I usually don't receive this until 10-15 minutes before the entire document needs to go out. I have tried both using the clipboard "keep source formatting" as well as insert-->file and have run into problems with both.

So if anyone could point me in the direction of a best practice rules for copying between word documents to make it relatively quick and painless I would be appreciative.

Thanks,
Dylan
