This is an old thread you need to be more specific to your tab problem?

If no menu bar shows right click on the blank space on the bar that will show you all the options select menu bar, favorites bar, command bar, status bar, show tabs on a separate row

I use IE11 on Windows 10 it also depends if you have the menu bar showing and favorites bar showing

You can click on menu bar Tools/Internet Options or the tools link on the right

Just look Tabs and set them how you want them to shows, and what happens when you open a new tab home page or new url you have right clicked on, I use them all the time
