Strange issue fuzzy around selected text
I am new to windows 10 and wanted to make it look a little bit more like window 7.
So if looked around and found "Classic Shell" and it made the start menu look and act like 7. But I wanted to increase the window border width a little I found a site and it said to adjust the registry setting "PaddedBorderWidth" in WindowsMetrics. (see attached) No mater what number I entered there was no change to the boarder width, so I set it back to the default value of -60 Then I noticed an issue in excel, outlook and many other programs. When i selected something it put a fuzzy border around it. (see attachments) I don't think I changed anything else in the registry. (I have been using and editing windows registry's since the first appeared.) I tried undoing all of the changes I have made but nothing has helped. Any Ideas?? Mike R. |

Welcome to the forum
I assume you didn't backup the Reg beforehand? That's something to always do, even if you are experienced. Got a recent Restore Point? Got a recent disk image? Quote:
You changed in Desktop\WindowMetrics. I wonder should the change to one specific app be in a more app-specific location? Desktop\Window… sounds sort of universal to me. |
