I thought that you could not.
Here is someone who disagrees, though. https://www.kapilarya.com/avoid-wind...oad-windows-10 Code:

![]() You can do this using the Windows Update service. Via Control Panel > Administrative Tools, you can access Services. In the Services window, scroll down to Windows Update and turn off the process. To turn it off, right-click on the process, click on Properties and select Disabled. |

Depends which version you have. 1903 has better options as far as I know, and Pro has more options than Home.

To be honest,i can not stand Windows 10 always asking me to update my Windows 10.
I have failed twice, and the Windows 10 update involves too many problems,it is too mysterious, and I do n’t even know what I did wrong about it. |

What you need to do is got to Settings > Windows Update > Pause Updates. You can also set your computer to a "metered network", which will also stop updates from automatically happening, however, this can stop some programs from functioning correctly.

Win+X key or right-click on the start menu, and select "Control Panel" from the menu that appears. In the control panel, select "System and Security" -> "Administrative Tools" -> "Services". Find the "Windows Update" service in the service management window, right-click to open the properties. Select the "Stop" button, then change "Manual" to "Disable", apply, confirm and save, and finally restart the computer.
