I thought that you could not.
Here is someone who disagrees, though.

You can do this using the Windows Update service.

Via Control Panel > Administrative Tools, you can access Services.

In the Services window, scroll down to Windows Update and turn off the process.

To turn it off, right-click on the process, click on Properties and select Disabled.

Depends which version you have. 1903 has better options as far as I know, and Pro has more options than Home.

Microsoft has released the latest update before resolving a number of outstanding issues. But at least they now provide a more centralized location for getting update information. The home page (dashboard) can be found here and the specific page for the latest update can be found here.

To be honest,i can not stand Windows 10 always asking me to update my Windows 10.
I have failed twice, and the Windows 10 update involves too many problems,it is too mysterious, and I do n’t even know what I did wrong about it.

Lightbulb Pause updates in Windows 10

What you need to do is got to Settings > Windows Update > Pause Updates. You can also set your computer to a "metered network", which will also stop updates from automatically happening, however, this can stop some programs from functioning correctly.

Win+X key or right-click on the start menu, and select "Control Panel" from the menu that appears. In the control panel, select "System and Security" -> "Administrative Tools" -> "Services". Find the "Windows Update" service in the service management window, right-click to open the properties. Select the "Stop" button, then change "Manual" to "Disable", apply, confirm and save, and finally restart the computer.
