Shortcut to an Excel file on Taskbar
I recently upgraded to Win10 Pro 64 and mostly have it set and working as I like. One thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to pin an individual file or a shortcut to a file to the taskbar. I did that routinely with Win7 and 8.1, but can only get links to a program, such as Excel, to pin. Thanks for any help! RetiredCHE |

Select the Start button, find the application in the list, right mouse over this and in the menu look for More, select pin to Taskbar

If you want to pin a document to an application shortcut on the taskbar, click and drag the file to the respective program icon. A small tip will indicate the item will be pinned to the application you selected. So, if you want to pin an Excel document, drag it to the Excel icon on your taskbar
