Default how to search Windows 10 for an image file with an image file

I seem to have misplaced an image file, and I have no idea what it was titled. I have a badly used copy of the image that I have scanned into the computer, but since I do not know what the image was titled, I have no way of trying to locate it in whatever nook or cranny it may be in.

This is not something that happens frequently so therefore I would not want to purchase any software designed to find image files with an image file, but I would like to try and find this image by using the image I do have.

Is there a free software that could try to locate this image by using the image file I have, and would it search network drives (two external drives connected to my wireless router)?

AFAIK there is no software for finding image files by content, especially not for finding one that is 'like' a scanned image.

There is software that can detect whether two files are identical, regardless of the file type, but that's not applicable here, since that process relies on a byte-by-byte comparison and a scanned image would be quite different in that regard from the original.

Ok, thanks for the info. I guess I was thinking of duplicate image finding software that finds images exactly alike or similarly alike. I just have to find one that will scan for a single image file instead of a complete folder of images. Maybe I could stick the image file in a folder and get the software to scan that folder; but then I suppose the software would only scan for duplicates within that folder and that wouldn't work. Anyway, thanks for your trouble.
