Default Basic Flowchart - Data Visualizer template

I am trying to create a new Basic Flowchart in Visio 2021 (M365 E5 license with Visio Plan 2). I go to Visio, new , from template and select the Basic Flowchart - Data Visualizer. then I select the option "Excel Data Template". When I do this Excel launches and Excel gives me a message "the file is corrupt and cannot be opened". I have the Visio Data Visualizer add in installed in both Excel and Visio. I have check for updates for Office and installed all the latest updates.

Is there anything else I can do to make the Visio Data Visualizer work with Excel ?

Thanks
Daved
