Hide excel-worksheet-object
I want to hide an Excel-worksheet-object in Visio 2016 through the ShapeSheet.
With an "normal" object like an rectangle in works just fine when I put Geometry1.NoLine, Geometry1.NoShow and Miscellaneous.HideTest to TRUE. But with the excel-object it's not working this way. Is there an alternative e.g. another attribute in the shape data I need to consider? Or is it simply not possible this way? Maybe with VBA? Thanks for your help in advance! |

I don't see how to do it with the ShapeSheet so I think the best way would be to assign it to a Layer that is not visible.
Create a couple of layers and set one of them to be not visible. Then you can select the shape and assign it to that layer. To show it again, you have the choice of moving it to the visible layer or changing the attributes of the layer it is on.

Thanks for your Reply!
Your suggestion worked very well and quick for a prototype but I had to create many shapes that could be independently shown or hidden so that would result in too many layers. I found a solution by chance: When I created my own QuickShape out of the shapes then I could use the ShapeSheet "normally" like I described at the top. So the QuickShape-creation replaced the grouping of the shapes. |
