Using Visio 2016 any added raised block fill is fixed at a transparency of 0%. Attempting to either entering or adjusting the slider fails to function leaving the 0% transparency default

Presumably this is because the shadowed area is behind the shapes and transparency would reveal that (eg on the circle)

I had a fiddle around in the shapesheet of a couple of these shapes and didn't have much luck in removing the transparency but I did find a relatively easy way to make a shape transparent via the Styles.

If you edit the Fill attributes of the style "Block Normal" to make it transparent then you can (re)apply that style to your shapes and they will become transparent.

I'm looking for a solution that I can adjust the transparency of Raised Blocks the same as other shape objects. If I followed the suggestion properly when I drag a new sheet into my design the foreground is blank but any attempt to adjust transparency brings back full intensity.

I also copied Raised blocks from Visio 2007 which have adjustable transparency into Visio 2016. However any shape dragged onto my 2016 design has no transparency adjustment

If the shape from 2007 works there but not in 2016 then I presume the 2016 document has a Page or Document shapesheet difference which is relevant. Have you compared the shapesheets for a 2007 doc with the shapesheets in your 2016 doc?

Can you post documents that work/don't work so we can look for pertinent differences?
