Visio Shape Data - Date formatting is getting confused
I'm trying to use shape data to add a formatted date to a title block. The shape data is defined as date type with the format set to {{dd MMM yyyy}}. When I click on the box it brings up a calendar for me to select the date. Depending on what date I select, it may or may not display the date correctly.
It seems to be an issue where if the day of the month that is selected is 12 or less, then Visio decides that the day is actually the month. For example, if I select 12 Nov 2022 then it gets displayed as 11 Dec 2022, but if I select 13 Nov 2022 then it displays as 13 Nov 2022. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm using Visio version 2210. Thanks, |

I can confirm this issue on my version of Visio too. I don't have a solution for the problem but I googled and found an article talking about it here Visio Date Format Pictures Affect Data Entry via the Calendar Popup - bVisual
I had a play with the Windows Regional settings and note that if I change Windows to use a US regional format then the date picker in Visio gives a correct answer. Of course this is a dud solution for the majority of the world's population so hopefully someone else can find a way to solve this.
