Question Issue when saving Visio Org Chart to pdf

Hi everyone
I'm wondering if anyone can assist me please?
I have created a multipaged Org Chart using the Org Chart template in Visio however the document needs to be circulated to staff in pdf format.
The trouble is that I am getting random 'shadow' lines at the base of the pdf that don't visibly exist on the Visio version. To rectify I need to go into each pdf page and edit/delete the image to get it to look as I intended.
Does anyone know why this might be happening, and if so, how it can be rectified so that the pdf looks just like the Visio version? A screen capture of each is attached for your reference.
Sincere thanks

You can save as PDF or you can print to PDF (usually with a couple of different print drivers).

Do you get the same result with each of the methods of creating a PDF?

Yes, have tried both, as well as exporting to pdf. Same result with all

Can you post a sample visio file with the shadow settings that fail? It won't need real names on it, just the shapes with the shadows.

That's the problem. The Visio file is perfect as it is (refer attached image). It's only when it is saved to a pdf that the random lines appear at the bottom.

The extra shadow I can see in your pdf screenshot are probably related to the perspective shadow you applied to the shapes. If you turn off the shadows, do the phantom lines also disappear?

What are ALL the shadow settings you have applied? Does it happen if there is only one shape on the page? Does it happen if you export to a PNG or JPG?

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you, I wasn't at work yesterday.
Problem still exists even with no shadowing on anything and also if saved to a PNG, and if only one shape on the page. So very odd.

* SOLVED *

I've managed to fix the issue by choosing a different Variant under the Design tap. Was set to Radiant initially and once I switched to another the problem no longer existed when pdf'ing.

Thanks to all who viewed and responded.

Visio supports layers which can be hidden on screen but shown in print/exports. There is a good chance that your shadow is on one such layer. I would also check to see if there is a background page assigned to your pages because the hidden layer could be on that page.

A good test would be to try a completely blank page. If the shadow appears on it then you know it isn't coming from the shapes visible on the page and must be on a hidden layer or background page.
