Visio 365 Connectors are rerouting as they wish even with being set to freely reroute. I need to be
I have been using Visio since V2000 and I have always been able to route connectors exactly where I want them even right next to another connector. I recently upgraded to the latest version and now I can't place connectors close to another without it snapping on top of the first connector. I draw up somewhat complex electronic diagrams and the ability to place a significant number of connectors very close together is critical. How can I get the functionality back that I need? |

It has been a while since I last used Visio but, have you tried to make the connections with the connectors far apart, then moving them back to the position needed?

Visio Callouts made terrible by "upgrades" to the program.
Yes, the issue is not that I can't make them go where I want but the fact that the placement operation is now automated thereby requiring a significant number of additional keystrokes to be able to put configure the callout the way I need. Before the last version I could simply drop the callout on the drawing wherever I want it and it would behave like any other stencil and stay where I put it until I chose to relocate or reconfigure it. Now the only way a callout will behave that way is if I turn off snap & glue before I drag it onto the drawing. After I have positioned it as I need I have to go back through the snap & glue menu and recheck them so that my connecting lines will operate as desired. This is 8 keystrokes per callout that I have to make. And, if I need to move the callout, I have to repeat the 8 additional strokes. So, Microsoft designers, Along with a host of other changes this is a real nightmare. I used to enjoy making drawings in Visio. Today I cringe when I have to work in Visio.
