Default My Shapes is empty

Hi,

On my visio 2016, when I click on More Shapes > My Shapes, there is only Organise My Shapes.

I'm not able to see any folders...
But when I click on Organize My Shapes, explorer open the correct folder... with all subfolders & vssx.

Any idea?

Thanks,

Your shapes are saved inside a stencil. The stencil is what you are looking at in the My Shapes folder in the File Explorer.

Ok, but in previous Visio version, I was able to see the list in this sub-menu :

Yes I can "Open Stencil" and find them... but it was better to have them in "My Shapes"

Is it related to the version 2016?!

Did you open Windows File Explorer look in your Documents\My Shapes folder? That is where your custom stencils should be saved.

Once your stencil files are saved into that folder, they should appear in that location inside Visio.

Yes!
When I click on "Organize My Shapes", Explorer open the directory defined in Options > Advanced > General > File Location > Shapes & Stencils ...

I copied a vssx in Document\My Shapes : still not available in My Shapes menu...

Do you really have a Visio 2017? I didn't know there was a version after Visio 2016.

It is possible your vssx stencil has become corrupted or can't be read. Try going to More Shapes > My Shapes > New Stencil and creating a stencil. Then add some shapes into that stencil and save it to the default location that Visio provides. Does that stencil then appear in the My Shapes flyout?

I said 2017?
No it's 2016 O365

vssx stencil are ok, because I can open them through "More Shapes" > "Open Stencils".

I created a new one, saved it in the default folder... and it is still not available "My Shapes"
