Hi everyone,
I am new to Visio 2013 and I have just been sent a diagram and have been asked if there is a way to display text in one of the shapes as well as the Process Number? I know the number could be typed in manually if there is room, but is there a way to automatically do this? If not what is the point of essentially duplicating it by completing the text in the shape and also in the Shape Data - Process. TIA |

Have a look in the View tab, then in the Add-Ons.
Look for Visio Extras > Number Shapes. . .. Explorer the options, eg, Auto Number and Continue numbering shapes as dropped on page. The number(s) can then be changed (font size, colour, bold etc) should you require this. Hope this helps you out. ![]() |

Sorry it has taken a while to get back to you. I have been otherwise occupied. I have been watching the video this morning that you posted below and it has certainly given me a few ideas. Thanks again for your help and once again apologies for not getting back to you sooner.
