Hi,
I'm totally unfamiliar with editing in Visio. We use a lot of Visio Gantt charts for maintennace planning, and I would like to know if the following is possible: I would like to make a maintenance planning with let's say 20 different tasks. For some tasks, we need a certain oil circuit to be pressurised, but for some other tasks we don't want pressure on this circuit. Also, for some tasks, we will need a crane, while for other tasks no crane is needed. I would like to know if it's possible to make a Gantt-planning, where you could indicate that oil pressure is / is not needed for a certain task. Visio should generate an error or message whenever conflicting tasks are planned on the same moment (for instance two tasks on the same moment, where one requires oil pressure, and the other requires no pressure) Could anyone give me some directions into this matter? Many thanks. |

Are you sure you want to use Visio for that undertaking? MicroSoft "Project" is a more appropriate software tool to use. Unless things have changed in Visio versions above 2010 (where my experience ends), I am not aware of any ghant charts being compiled in Visio and generating an error when something does not add up.
