Are you sure you want to use Visio for that undertaking? MicroSoft "Project" is a more appropriate software tool to use. Unless things have changed in Visio versions above 2010 (where my experience ends), I am not aware of any ghant charts being compiled in Visio and generating an error when something does not add up.
