Question Ruler zeros changes and gluing behavior

I've been experiencing weird gluing behavior in Visio (2007 and 2010) when the ruler zero is changed. Gluing works as expected when the zero is at the default position (0,0). If the ruler zero is changed to any other value, shapes will only glue at one connection point.

Here's how to replicate the problem:
  • Open a new drawing.
  • Change the ruler zero to any value.
  • Add several 2d shapes with multiple compatible connection points
  • Try gluing the shapes together - does not work correctly
  • Reset the ruler zeros and try gluing again - works as expected.

See I've included a link to a video clip I made demonstrating the problem. I used some custom shapes, but the behavior is the same no matter which shapes are used.

This is driving my crazy trying to find a solution. Any thoughts?
