Default How to hide door width

I recently built a floor plan. One floor came out fine with no problems. The second floor I basically copied and pasted the first design on to a new page and made changes as needed. The problem is next to every door in the plan it has the detentions displayed so there will be a big grey "14in" or something like that above every door. It even shows up when I print it.

I tried added brand new doors rather than copied ones, this got rid of the dimensions being displayed, but it wont let me fully adjust the dimensions, I can alter the width of the door but not the height of the frame those resize boxes are grey, but i can still fully resize any doors that were copied from the other file.

I just want to know how to get rid of the width being displayed as they are covering the whole plan. I attached an image so you can see exactly what it looks like. If needed I could probably attach the full visio file. Also I am using Visio 2003. Thanks in advance for any help.
