Is Visio part of Office?
We are about to upgrade our aging Win XP systems and we will probably upgrade to Office 2010 at the same time. From looking at the MSFT website, it doesn't look like Visio is part of Office. I thought the plan was to include it with the Office suite. Did that not happen?
So, I guess I'll need to upgrade Visio independently of Office. Two questions: 1. Can I run Visio 2010 with Office 2007 (on Win XP)? 2. Would you upgrade Visio on the old machines or wait and install it on the new ones? Thanks |

You are correct in that MS Office Suite and Visio are NOT part of the same suite of software. There is no problem with operating both Visio 2010 and Office Suite 2007 on the same CPU. Upgrading your software/systems is really a matter of personnal preference (do you need it now or, can you wait).
