Default Drawing partially off printed page

I started with a portrait shape template, changed the page orientation to landscape, and resized the template to fit landscape and saved it as a .vsd file. Despite both the drawing window and Print Preview looking fine it still prints as if the drawing is in portrait mode meaning much of the drawing is not on the printed page. Under Page Setup and Page Size I have set both the Printer Paper and Drawing Page to be the same 11 X 8.5 landscape and the graphic in the Page Setup looks fine. I have also tried selecting Current View on the Print window and other combinations in Page Setup. What am I doing wrong? I am trying out the Trial version of Visio if that makes a difference.
