Default adding a table to a template, need the table to autosize or insert row if necessary

I am creating a template, in the template is a table, that will populate data via a mail merge, some pages will have 2 rows of data, some will have 3,4,5 etc.. I dont want to have a table with a large table full of blank rows if unnecessary. In excel you can achieve this via a VBA code. Not sure how to do it in Publisher.. Any suggestions would be great!!

thanks in advance
