Red X instead of grahic in mail merge
Hi
I have a database of around 4000 records which need some text fields - contact name, job title etc - plus a QR code graphic. I've successfully done a merge with the QR graphics saved as png files - file size of each one is around 271 bytes. Unfortunately I need the graphics to be CMYK instead of RGB, which has meant converting to jpgs. This increases file size slightly to 2.71 kb each. I do this by using the mogrify utility which is part of Imagemagick. When I export the file to pdf using the pngs, Publisher is fine. When I use the jpgs, it works to a certain point (this can vary) then it seems to give up the graphic merge and puts in red X placeholders instead. The fact that this can happen at a different point each time I run it suggests it may be a memory issue - but at only 2.71 kb per file, everything I've googled about Publisher says this should be the case. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get Publisher to produce the graphics properly? Thanks! |
