Default MS 2013 vs. MS 2016

We just upgraded to MS 2016 from 2013. All of our training workbooks are in Publisher. With the upgrade, the text, spacing, sentence wrapping, and margins are completely messed up. Does anyone know how to keep this from happening? Otherwise will have to view lots of booklets and manually re-work.
