Default How to print around pre-printed background

Is there a way to define an irregular print area so that I can get the text to print around a pre-printed background?

I have some Christmas stationery that have various Christmas scenes pre-printed on the paper. I've scanned the images and imported them into a Publisher template. Now I just need to define the print area so that it goes around the image. One has a large snowman in the upper righthand corner. Another has Santa and his reindeer flying across the top. If I define a rectangular area, I will lose a lot of printable area.

Thanks
