Publisher 2007

I tried to add a .png image file to my document, and it just appeared blank with a red x at the top. Do I need a plugin or something to view .png files? Could someone please direct me to the link?

You shouldn't need a plugin to view .png files. How did you insert the png file? Is the file corrupt (can you view it in a different application)?
