Default Task Start and End Dates

Hi

I am using Project 2010 and cannot understand why if a task starts at 0900hrs on a Monday and is a five day task, the finish date is showing as 0900hrs the following Monday rather than 1700 hrs on the previous Friday!
I am using an eight hour day calendar.
Can anyone help.
