Default Walked away, came back on my files were gone...!

I had highlighted 13 rows, rightclick format bars and was getting the spinning wheel for "thinking". I had noticed that there was a (not responding) message in the programs window bar the the top. I figured it was a good time to take a two minute break. When I came back there was a new blank project on the screen. I checked the recently opened, and all the mpp files, all my work is nowhere to be found...... 8+ hrs gone....

I'm not positive but I believe I started the day by saving a new version of an old file and started the update.

Anyone with any ideas?

Hi Seth

Did you have AutoSave turned on?
If not then you may have lost it unfortunately.
Suggest you turn on AutoSave by default for future work you can set the time for saving copies.
Hope this helps a little.
Tony

Default Nope....

Lesson learned. I assumed it defaulted to auto save on.

Thanks.
