Default Scheduling of Tasks

I would like to schedule my project tasks based off of how many days away that task is from the end date. So for instance if my project end date is May 3rd, and I want to start the task 30 days prior to that, it will automatically calculate the start date. Also, I would like the end date of the task to be the duration of the task. Is this possible?
