Different % complete in Project Center & View a Project
Scenario:
- A MS Project is published on Project Web Access (PWA). - After opening the project in MS Project and altering the field manually, the % complete field is changed. - The project is re-published. Problem: The project % complete field is different in the PWA Project Center in comparison to the View a Project screen (or to the project in MS Project). This is a serious problem, as with a number of our projects, the field % complete is underestimated in the Project Center. Consequently, stakeholders assume that less work has been done on the projects in comparison to what has actually been done. How can this be corrected and avoided? |

Different % complete in Project Center & View a Project
First you check the field names, both should be either % Complete or % Work Complete. If you are looking % Complete in PWA and % Work Complete in Project Professional, the values will be different.
If that is not the case then, you have to do the following steps to align the % complete/% Work complete in Project Professional and PWA. 1. Open the project plan using project professional 2. Select |Collaborate | Publish | Republish Assignments 3. Check (tick) Overwrite actual work entered by resources 4. Click OK button This action will push the values from Project Professional to PWA, including individual resource timesheets. - Rayis |
