Default fix a scale, or save a view

I want to see my entire project on one screen - i also want to see the timeline only show weeks, without the dates - and I know how to do this. That said, as soon as I zoom in I lose the format of my time scale and I'm wondering if there's a way to keep it fixed or to save the view so I can hop back to the format that I want to print or display my project at.
