Default How to set links that automatically update

Hello,

I'm new to Project and need some help with linking my tasks.

I have a series of tasks that I have linked Start to Finish (one needs to be completed before the second can start and there is no lag time). I would like to be able to adjust when the first task ends and have the second task's start time automatically adjust to the new end time. current;y, when I make the change, the second task start time stays the same.

How can I set this up?

Thanks,

Tim

That isnt Start to Finish; that is Finish to Start (the most common type)

Link them Finish to Start and DO NOT enter start or finish dates for tasks. You should only ever have to specify the Project Start date... let the product calculate start and finish dates for tasks, based on the durations you enter, and any constraints you specify.
