Default help with formatting my project, particular to issues of scale

I am having trouble formatting my MS Project file.

First off there are issues of scaling - I know how to fit the project on a single page using the print option but this leaves my page impossible to read - it squashes things along the vertical access as it scales everything proportionately. Is there a way to have it scale to fit the page in both directions but non uniformly - so that the entire "phase" of the project fits the length but each task is spaced evenly from one edge to the other?

is there a way to copy and paste formatting between bars?

is there a way to control spacing between lines?

please, help!
