So I have tasks that have a certain length of time from start to finish - I want to add a milestone date in there (in this case, "Go-Live" that would show as a symbol on the existing task bar - without having to create a separate task for every single one of these.
Can this be done, and if so, I think I'm missing the "how" - seems like such a simple ask, but am not finding it. Would be very helpful to have that visually shown in the gantt bars. |

Where will the milestone date come from? Would you enter it manually? If yes, here is a video of a solution using custom field

If your milestone date is the start or finish of a task, you could format the bar to show the date on the bar.
Apart from that, without resorting to VB (which MIGHT do it), then no. Its not a simple ask, in reality, as MSP shows a task per line, and a milestone is a separate task, so you would be trying to put two items into one line. |

Yes, it's possible without VBA using custom field for milestone date.
