Default Can you add a Milestone (date) on an existing task?

So I have tasks that have a certain length of time from start to finish - I want to add a milestone date in there (in this case, "Go-Live" that would show as a symbol on the existing task bar - without having to create a separate task for every single one of these.

Can this be done, and if so, I think I'm missing the "how" - seems like such a simple ask, but am not finding it. Would be very helpful to have that visually shown in the gantt bars.

Where will the milestone date come from? Would you enter it manually? If yes, here is a video of a solution using custom field

If your milestone date is the start or finish of a task, you could format the bar to show the date on the bar.
Apart from that, without resorting to VB (which MIGHT do it), then no. Its not a simple ask, in reality, as MSP shows a task per line, and a milestone is a separate task, so you would be trying to put two items into one line.

Yes, it's possible without VBA using custom field for milestone date.
