Default Project Progress - Actual vs Estimated

Hey

Probably a question asked may times... Im not looking for this by task, just a single Actual vs scheduled % value that i can deliver to my management team as this is the main question to me...

so, i need to get the following values

1. the percentage through the scheduled project. If it was a 100 day project and im current 50 days in, this value would be 50%

2. the percentage of actual completed work. If it was a 100 day project, im at 50 days but have completed 65 days work, the value would (50%) 65%

3. the percentage ahead of actual completed work. If it was a 100 day project, im 65%, 15% over the schedule, the value would be 15% ahead

I can do a report, i'd like to know if

  • Project can already provide these values
  • What fields would i need to calculate to do this myself

Thanks

I might be wrong but I think you need to calculate Scheduled % (Baseline %) for tasks to get the overall value.

This video might help you. Also read the pinned comment as it improves the formula in the video when an error occurs.
