Default Problem with View>Sort...

I have a new version of MS Project, loaded by my company. Using: MS Project Online Desktop, Build 13801.21004

I started a new schedule, entered in all of my outline headings /
tasks / durations / predecessors... I always start a project this way, free-form thought process... then I "Sort" by StartDate with re-numbering... has always worked like a charm, until this version of Project. The problem:

1. Within any given OutlineHeading, the tasks fall in order as they are supposed to
2. BUT... The OutlineHeadings are not in order... Earliest group is first, then last group, and then descending order of groups.

SCHEDULE ATTACHED, POST #2 BELOW...If someone needs to see the schedule, I can send it as an attachment, or DropBox link... if you can help, please let me know what is best.

Muchisimas Gracias!!!

What is really the problem, the Summary Tasks (Outline Headings) are also sorted by Start in the file you attached.

Hi Project Planner,

Thanks so much for responding, I had just about given up hope. Your comment "the Summary Tasks (Outline Headings) are also sorted by Start"... a couple of questions:

1. Are'nt the Summary Tasks supposed to sort by Start?
2. Urbanization should be the first task-group under "Construction", but it sorts to last... why can't I get it to sort to the proper start?

1. Yes, Summary Tasks are also sorted
2. In the schedule you attached, Urbanisation has date of June 2022 while Phase 1 Building Construction has date of October 2021, therefore Urbanisation should appear last.
