Default "Projects" question

hello all, i am a contractor and looking into using microsoft projects to make my schedules, ghantt charts. i would like to know if projects offers 2 features

- templates? once i make a ghantt chart i would like to save it as a template and import it into new projects
- todo items? i currently use BUILDERTREND and it has a feature that we can add TODO items that are attached to/set to pop up when a specific item/task in the schedule occurs. for example, on the schedule there is an item POUR LINTEL. i would like a task to pop up on that day that says HAS LINTEL INSPECTION PASSED, that way it reminds people to verify if it passed inspection before ordering concrete

i appreciate the help. thank you everyone!

Yes, you can save Views, Reports, Filters, Tables, calendars, Maps, Fields & Groups as templates. By default, all these are auto saved in the Global Template and you can re-use them in a new project as they will be available for use by default.

For to-do, not too sure about linking with another software, but the only workaround I can think of is to set-up a Custom field that displays a generic message on the date .

= IIf([Start]=[Status Date],"Has All Preceding Tasks Been Completed","")
