Summary task does not summarize % complete
Hi guys,
recently I added a custom field in my Project Schedule to show % complete with decimals, thanks to Jerome´s reply to a previous thread I posted in the forum. Now I am using the same custom field to show %complete with decimals, but I notice that when I have a summary task that contains only milestones (activities with a duration of zero days), when I update the % complete to one or some of the milestones within that summary task, the summary task remains showing 0%, unless I give 100% compete to all of its subtasks. Is there any way for a Summary task that contains only milestones to summarize the total % complete when some of its milestones reach 100%? |

I've produced a workaround using 4 custom number fields as helper columns and 1 custom text field to hold a custom "Task %".
The YouTube video for this workaround is at How to calculate summary task percent complete when all subtasks are milestones in Microsoft Project - YouTube |

Thank you Jerome!
I just saw your youtube video, and it is the perfect solution I was needing to make Microsoft Project show summary % complete for a summary task containing only milestones as sub-tasks with some of them 100% completed.
Thank you for taking the time to create a solution for that issue. Regards, Alberto. |
