Master/subproject linked tasks - not linking to start date
I have a master project with about 8 sub-projects, from contractors. I am linking the sub-contractor schedules together (ie from contractor A -> contractor B tasks) to follow actual workflow.
It has been working, until I noticed that additional "ghost" lines are being inserted into each sub project as I link them together. That didn't seem to be an issue, until I noticed that the start date of tasks within each sub-project (and therefore showing up in the master project) aren't updating - just staying at the sub-project's "project start date". This seems bizarre...and I don't understand why it's only affecting some, not all lines. It obviously completely breaks the utility of the master project, if I can't link these tasks together and have them update accordingly this whole thing is useless unfortunately. |

I did this and it didn't generate ghost lines. Did you drag the projects into the "Master" project, or did you ask to insert from the menu?
